just how you called it, bill, it just keeps heating up. >> now we're headed for a big warm up. we go outside and i'll show you what we have. we have some warm highs, warmer than yesterday by about five to 10, 15 degrees warmer in some places. here are the buoys offshore. this one up around point rays is blowing west-northwest gusting at 36. as we go into the next 24 to 36 hours we're going to start clocking out to the north like this. what will happen is that's the warm off direction. it's a northerly gradient that's very influential and warming up the bay area. especially as we head into saturday and sunday. the sun will be at the coast intermittently. as we head into saturday and sunday, the high pressure builds out of the southwest. comes up out of the valley. you know how hot that air can be. hottest day sunday, but saturday is going to be pretty darn warm and so is monday. the forecast then for 90. the high pressure of the story. my biggest concern with this. obviously fire danger but we've had rain. so it's not going to be as severe as it could be. i wouldn't be surprised

there's a big difference. you can see the green along the peninsula. 70s there. 80s for some. that's at the napa airport. i think i saw 84 closer to town. a lot of fog. it's just not deep enough. it will make it over the golden gate bridge and then ainge jel island, it will start to get -- angle island, it will start to get dropped down. the system will lift it. probably won't be until 24, 36 hours. there it is. it cooks -- looks like cooler weather is on the way. fog near the coast, sun, a lot of it. plenty of temperatures that are warm to hot. there's others that are cool and foggy. we can go anywhere from 60s to near 100. a lost 80s in between. temperatures even out to the valley are very hot. 68 almeda, 97 brentwood, 93 livermore. 94 gill rear, 84 fremont. 88 saratoga and los gatos and then 60s, 70s. south, san francisco to the -- low 20 mid-80s on the peninsula. there are signs that cooler weather is on the way. for those looking for, that hang on. thursday it will be here. >> thank you, steve. >>> a huge crowd enjoyed a spectacular 4th of july fireworks show on san franc

and the big weather story is a warm up if you roll into the bay area weekend. so i mentioned this last week when it rained, i'm just glad it didn't rain this weekend. we got a little rain tuesday, it's great it's over the weekend. this weekend looks like it's going to be the nicest week epd weekend we've seen in a while. we saw a little bit of it today. we're looking for temperatures tomorrow to be warmer. temperatures on saturday and sunday are warmer still. right now the hottest day will probably be sunday with temperatures moving toward 70 degrees. we had the rain, that's good. it's going to heat up it's going to dry up but i have to tell you that rain helps quite a bit as you go into this holiday weekend which is traditionally a very scary fire weekend. fourth of july is really hot, but we're wet right now so that helps out. much better than we would have been without that inch of rain. fore what's for the fog is at the coast. like i said it peels back and look that the, big strong winds are going to sheer it right off the coast and you have a nice day out
